Pamela Corante-Hansen, ABC

Pamela Corante-Hansen, ABC, has helped clients and employers alike reach target audiences with clear, concise and compelling writing and marketing communications strategies. Her writing has garnered awards from trade and professional organizations in the categories of magazines and newsletters, feature writing and creative writing. Her writing experience includes four years as editor-in-chief of a quarterly magazine on preventive health, five years as editor of the American Red Cross Los Angeles Chapter’s Spanish-language newsletter, feature article writing for the ULCA Alumni magazine and UCLA Today newspaper, and copywriting for marketing collateral materials, annual reports and the web.

A native Spanish speaker, Pamela handled statewide multicultural communications for SBC/Pacific Bell and secured placements in major Spanish-language news media, including the Univision and Telemundo networks, La Opinion and numerous radio stations. As former associate director of media relations at UCLA, Pamela was instrumental in helping to launch one of the university’s nanotechnology institutes, securing media coverage on Latin America’s largest television network and in U.S.-based internet news outlets.

Pamela’s 20-year career includes industry experience in higher education, health and wellness, food and beverage, humanitarian services, travel, science and technology, telecommunications, and the performing arts.

Pamela is accredited by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and serves on the board of directors for IABC’s Los Angeles chapter. She is the membership co-chair for the Los Angeles chapter of PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) and a founding board member of the South Bay Latino Chamber of Commerce. She holds a BA from the University of California, Irvine and a certificate in Marketing Communications from UC Irvine Extension.
